Who runs UrlToReel

UrlToReel is made and run by Masab Farooque, an independent developer. There is more about Masab at masabfarooque.com. It is a standalone product. It is not owned by, or part of, any company, agency or other organization.

When these pages say "we", "us" or "our", they mean Masab Farooque as the person who runs UrlToReel.

What UrlToReel does

You give UrlToReel a link to a public web page. We open the page in a browser, record it, read its text, colours and fonts, and use them to make four short promo videos. You can edit those videos in the browser and download them.

Every video is built from your page and our animated layouts. We do not generate video footage with AI. A language model helps choose which facts from your page to feature and writes short lines in plain words, and we check what it writes against your page before it goes into a video.

Using UrlToReel

You need to be at least 16 to use UrlToReel. If you use it for a business, you confirm you are allowed to act for that business.

You can use UrlToReel without an account. Your reels are tied to the browser you made them in. If you sign in with your email, or buy exports, your reels are kept with your email and you can open them on other devices with a sign-in link.

Keep your sign-in links to yourself. Anyone who opens one before it expires can sign in as you on their device.

Websites you can use

Only use links to websites you own, or websites whose owner has said you can promote them. You are responsible for having the right to use the text, images, logos and other material on the pages you give us.

Our acceptable use policy lists the sites and uses that are not allowed. If you break it, we may delete your reels and stop you using UrlToReel.

Your reels

The reels you make are yours. You can post them anywhere, for free or in paid ads, as long as you have the right to use what is on the website.

To make and store your reels, you give us permission to copy, store and process the pages you link to and the edits you make. We only use this to run UrlToReel for you. We never sell it or use your reels to advertise UrlToReel without asking you first.

The animated layouts, music, sound effects, voices and software that make up UrlToReel stay ours. Using them inside the reels you export is fine.

Prices and payment

Making reels, editing them and watching previews is free. Previews carry a watermark. To download a take in full HD without the watermark, you use one export. Exports are sold in packs for a single payment. There is no subscription.

Once you use an export on a take, you can edit that take and download it again as often as you like at no extra cost. Exports you have not used never expire. They cannot be moved to another email or swapped for cash.

Our order process is run by our online reseller Lemon Squeezy, who is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Lemon Squeezy handles payment, sales tax and invoices, and handles customer service questions about payments and returns. Prices are shown in US dollars and taxes are added at checkout where they apply.

How long we keep your reels

If you never sign in or buy exports, we delete your reels, and everything we recorded to make them, 7 days after you made them. Reels kept with an email stay until you ask us to delete them.

Download anything you want to keep. We do our best to keep your files safe, but please do not use UrlToReel as your only copy.

Fair use and limits

Making reels uses real computing power, so there are limits on how many you can make in an hour. Do not try to get around those limits, the watermark or the payment step, and do not use UrlToReel to overload or attack other websites.

If something goes wrong

We work hard to keep UrlToReel running and accurate, but we provide it as it is. Some websites cannot be recorded, a reel may contain a mistake from the page it came from, and the service may be down now and then. Always watch a reel before you post it.

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses such as lost profit or lost data. Our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer law where you live.

Ending use

You can stop using UrlToReel at any time and ask us to delete your email and reels. We may suspend or close access if you break these terms. If we close access without a good reason, we refund any exports you have not used.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as UrlToReel changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters for people who have bought exports, we will email them before it applies.
