Who runs UrlToReel

UrlToReel is made and run by Masab Farooque, an independent developer. There is more about Masab at masabfarooque.com. It is a standalone product. It is not owned by, or part of, any company, agency or other organization.

When these pages say "we", "us" or "our", they mean Masab Farooque as the person who runs UrlToReel.

What we collect

We keep this as small as we can. Here is everything:

• The link you give us, and what we record from that page: screenshots, text, colours, fonts, logos and product details.
• The reels we make and every edit you save.
• Your email address, if you ask for a sign-in link or buy exports.
• Your order details from Lemon Squeezy: what you bought, when, and whether it was refunded. We never see your card number.
• A random ID in a cookie, so we know which reels belong to your browser.
• Your IP address and basic request details in our server logs, used to stop abuse and fix problems.

Why we use it

We use this information to make and store your reels, keep your exports with your email, send you sign-in links, stop people from abusing the service, and answer you when you write to us. We rely on two legal grounds: running the service you asked for, and our interest in keeping it safe and working.

We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other websites.

Who helps us

A few services process data for us, only as far as they need to:

• Lemon Squeezy takes payments as the Merchant of Record and keeps your billing details.
• Resend sends our sign-in emails.
• OpenRouter passes the text of your page to a language model, which helps pick facts and write short lines for your reels. We send page text only, never your email.
• Our hosting provider runs the servers that store your reels.

How long we keep it

• Reels from browsers that never signed in or bought: deleted after 7 days.
• Reels and email for people who signed in or bought: kept until you ask us to delete them.
• Sign-in links: they stop working after 15 minutes and are deleted within a day.
• Order records: kept as long as the law requires for tax and accounting.
• Server logs: kept for a short time and then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send us a message from the support page at urltoreel.com/support, using the email you use with UrlToReel, and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Where your data is stored

Our servers and the services above may be in a different country from you. When data moves between countries, we use providers that protect it with the safeguards the law asks for.

Children

UrlToReel is not meant for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or who helps us, we will update this page and the date at the top. For big changes we will also email people who have an account.
